Though Elvhenan was beautiful and Arlathan, its heart, a wonder, there was rot at the center. ![]() He played the role of messenger quite often, and alone amongst the evanuris in knowing the Forgotten Ones. To the people he had many names: Fenara, Fen’ghil’lan, Fen'an, he became a protector to wanderers and patron of outcasts. The war fell in their favour, and through belief, Mythal and those like her were elevated from mere mortals to gods, albeit gods with the same fickle and petty nature as those they worshipped. He had no love of battle, and wanted to run- flee to the heavens, where the earth could not reach. In time, he became Mythal's protector, and found the name "Fen'amelan," or "wolf guardian" to signify his role at her side.īut a great and terrible war came to the people, and it was Mythal's duty to fight it. What would become Elvhenan was then small, but its people were creative, and he wished to see what would become of it. She was the first person who stilled his wandering, and mentored him. It was his worldliness and the wisdom that came with it that caught the attention of Mythal, a woman who had attracted a following and, with it, power. When he felt he could stay no longer, he left his home, and the people with it, shedding the name he had been given to find one that would better fit.įor years, he travelled, expanding his mind and with it, the horizon. In dreams, he crossed beyond the boundaries of his home, and made his first true friends. His beginnings were humble, the world was new and the People were still learning, and those around him were paranoid about venturing beyond. He grew up in a small village, somewhere north of Haven. ![]()
